Hatyara Kaun

A badly decomposed body is discovered near an abandoned, disputed construction site. The victim is identified as Sanjay Siddharth, a powerful and well-known builder who was murdered four days earlier. With no eyewitnesses and very little evidence, Inspector Rathodbegins investigating everyone connected to the site. At the same time, Arjun, a sincere schoolteacher, regains consciousness after being found severely injured on a deserted road. His wife, Dr. Neha Bhasin, a respected psychiatrist, has been caring for him at home. However, when Arjun opens his eyes, he appears unable to recognise Neha or Mr. Shekhawat, the school principal whom he has always respected like a father. Arjun’s memory of the night of the murder is completely blank. The police investigation soon reveals that Arjun’s mobile phone was active near the murder location at approximately the same time Sanjay was killed. Arjun also discovers a frightening video recorded on his own phone. In the video, he is seen running from the abandoned building, terrified and warning himself not to trust anyone. Arjun has no memory of recording it. Inspector Rathod becomes convinced that Arjun knows more than he is revealing. His suspicions deepen when financial records show that Sanjay had transferred a large amount of money intended for the school into Arjun’s personal bank account. The evidence suggests that Arjun may have secretly sold the school property to the builder and then murdered him when their deal went wrong. While Neha begins therapy to recover Arjun’s memories, fragments of the truth slowly return to him—a disputed school property, forged documents, hidden financial records and a shadowy figure chasing him on the night of the murder. The investigation eventually leads Arjun to Shekhawat’s house. There, he secretly searches for evidence inside a locked cabinet. Before he can open it, Shekhawat attacks him. The respected principal finally reveals his true face. Tired of living an ordinary life, Shekhawat had secretly made a fraudulent deal to sell the school’s valuable land to Sanjay. Instead of transferring the actual property, he created forged documents and diverted the builder’s money through Arjun’s bank account, intending to frame him if the fraud was ever discovered. When Sanjay realised that he had been cheated, he confronted Shekhawat at the abandoned construction site. During their violent argument, Shekhawat killed him with an iron rod. Arjun unexpectedly witnessed the murder. Shekhawat then attacked Arjun and left him for dead, but Neha arrived before he could finish the job. Now exposed, Shekhawat attempts to kill both Arjun and Neha and escape with his hidden illegal wealth. However, Arjun fights back and secretly connects his phone to Inspector Rathod, allowing the police to witness Shekhawat’s confession and attack. Inspector Rathod and his team arrive at the last moment and arrest Shekhawat. In the final revelation, Arjun admits that he had not completely lost his memory. Realising that the murderer was someone close to him, he deliberately continued pretending to suffer from amnesia so that the real killer would feel safe and expose himself. The school and its land are saved, the innocent children’s future is protected, and Sanjay’s murderer is finally brought to justice. But the experience leaves Arjun with a painful lesson: Trusting someone is not wrong—but trusting the wrong person can destroy everything.
